Ruby Red Onion is one of our newest editions to our California Balsamic family of specialty balsamic vinegar flavors. A savory blend of our premium white balsamic with fresh juiced red onion, powdered and granulated onion, and fresh beet juice to naturally enhance the color, Ruby Red can be used as a finishing sauce over veggies, salads, fish, pizza, chicken or steaks. We like to mix our Ruby Red Onion with Sweet Heat for a great topping over a stir fry. Our SOS free friends will love Ruby Red mixed with our Dill Mustard and marinate slices of cucumber for a sweet treat! Mix with your favorite oil for a vibrant onion vinaigrette, or enjoy drizzled over straight for an oil-free recipe.

Note: Due to the acidity of the balsamic, the color of our ruby red balsamic will change from a dark red to more of a light brown over the first month after bottling. This is not a defect in the product, merely a side effect of the balsamic vinegar effectively pickling the beet juice and onion juice which takes the color out. We chose to leave that recipe as is with the color change, rather than adding a chemical coloring that would stay bright like that in the acidic environment.
